Luke Clout will head to the USA in just a matter of hours, to take on selected rounds of the 2016 AMA Supercross.
Despite rumours that Clout had resigned with Serco Yamaha for the 2016 race season, the New South Welshman confirmed this morning that he has forgone his position with the Yamaha backed team in order to pursue his American dream.
Clout shared that although the opportunity was unexpected, he can’t wait to get to America and show the world what he can do.
“I am so excited to have the opportunity to head over to America and race the AMA Supercross,  it really is a dream come true for me,” he said.
“I can’t give too many details on who I will be riding for over there, but I know i’ll have good people around me, and this really is the opportunity I’ve been hoping for.
“I can’t thank the team at Serco enough for allowing me to head off and pursue my dreams. I’ve been very fortunate to have been offered this chance to show people what I’ve got, and i’m going to do everything I can to make it happen for myself in America.”
On behalf of the MX Nationals, we would like to wish Luke all the best, and will be supporting him and cheering him on, along with the rest of Australia, as he takes on the AMA Supercross
